The Cathedral CLARES

Care, Love, Action, Response, Effort, Service

CLARES is a cosmopolitan women's group who meet at St John's Cathedral, Central.

Put simply, our aims are to offer friendship to all, and to support the community by voluntary work.

Some of the CLARES attend the 9:30am Communion Service, in the Cathedral, before the meeting.

Members of CLARES run our Charity Shop “Castaways” on a voluntary basis, enabling us to support many locally based charities.

CLARES started in 1962 and since then the Group has been a constant theme in an ever changing scene. Here we can meet and make friends, find support and work together to help others.

New members are always welcome, short or long term.
