With the resumption of public worship services from 1st June 2020, the following measures are in place at the Cathedral for the sake of health protection. Please follow the directions of the Sidesmen.

  • If you meet one of the following conditions, please stay home to rest and participate worship online:
    • feeling unwell, especially if having fever or respiratory symptoms;
    • having travelled in the past fourteen days;
    • a member of your household having fever or respiratory symptoms; or
    • a member of your household being in quarantine at home.
  • Please enter the Cathedral by the West Door, and exit via the side doors.
  • Please complete and hand in the Pew Record Form when you leave the Cathedral.
  • Please wear masks throughout the services.
  • Your body temperature will be measured. Please clean your hands with hand sanitiser upon entry.
  • Please wipe your seating area with disinfectant wipes before sitting and when leaving. The Cathedral will be disinfected between services as well.
  • Social distancing should be maintained. Except for those in the same household, parishioners should be seated at least one metre apart from one another.
  • Holy Communion will be received in one kind only - the Body of Christ. Parishioners are to receive the Body of Christ only in the hand and standing. You should sanitise your hands using handrub before receiving Holy Communion and observe appropriate physical distancing when waiting in line.
  • Peace is to be exchanged by nodding head or by a fist-and-palm salute.
  • Only 80% of the seating capacity will be available. Li Hall and Harold Smyth Room will be open as overflow areas.
  • Collection will be received at the doors to support the work of the church.
  • No Sunday School and fellowship gatherings will be held and no refreshment will be served at this time.
