Faith Begins Course

Exploring Christianity at St John’s Cathedral
Are you interested in exploring Christianity or becoming a Christian? Would you like to join our cathedral community and become a formal member of the Anglican Church (Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui)? Through Baptism and Confirmation, individuals publicly declare their faith in God and trust in Jesus Christ. These sacraments mark the reception of the Holy Spirit and formal admission into the life of the Church.

Step 1 – Become an Enquirer
Enrolment is now closed.

From September 2025 to February 2026, cathedral clergy will meet with you monthly. During this period, we ask that you attend services regularly at either the cathedral or our daughter churches. These meetings allow us to get to know each other, and provide an opportunity for you to ask questions about:

The Christian faith
The Anglican Church (HKSKH)

Step 2 – Enrol in ‘Faith Begins’ (Adult Baptism & Confirmation Course)
Course details

Dates: Every Wednesday from 25^th February to 20^thMay 2026
Time: 7.00-9.10pm
Location: Harold Smyth Room

Weekly schedule:
7.00pm - Supper
7.30pm - Clergy-led talk
8.00pm - Small group discussions
(available in English, Cantonese, or Mandarin)
9.00pm - Group prayer
9.10pm - Close

Course Fee: HK$1,200

Baptism and Confirmation Service

Sunday, 24^th May 2026 will be your baptism and confirmation service, marking your formal membership in the Church.
